Tarpon Fishing Charters Extreme Fishing Puerto Rico

Tarpon are available in our lagoons 365 days a year. Capt. Juan fishes two saltwater lagoons, La Torrecilla and San Jose. They are only a 5 to 10 minute boat ride from our marina.

Tarpon of all sizes are present in our waters from 5-pound baby tarpon to mature females pushing over 100 pounds! The great thing about tarpon fishing in Puerto Rico is that you can target different sized fish depending on your anglers.

If you have small kids, there is great fishing for baby tarpon up to 10 pounds near the mangrove shorelines. Looking for bigger tarpon? There are many tarpon 10 to 50 pounds in the open waters of our lagoons. Trophy specimens can be caught several times of the year when we fish for tarpon that average 50 to 100 pounds in weight.

We catch many over 100 pounds every season, with Capt. Juan’s personal best at 160 pounds! They are strong fighters that will test you angling skills.

Tarpon are protected by law here in Puerto Rico and must be released.
